Biography of filmmaker M. Keegan Uhl


Keegan is a writer/director based in Los Angeles. 

He was born in Wisconsin, raised in Boston and attended Middlebury College in Vermont.

He started editing over twenty years ago, and has also worked as a cinematographer and in the story department at Phoenix Pictures (Black Swan, Shutter Island).

2018 finds him with two short films playing at film festivals and writing feature films to direct.



  • His spot "Babysitter" was featured in Shoot! Magazine's 2012 New Director's Showcase.
  • His short "The Beach" screened at the Sundance Film Festival
  • His Zippo commercial played extensively in Asia and on billboards at NASCAR events
  • A web series he produced and directed was optioned by ABC for television
